Fuller'sRefreshing Summer AleABV 3.9% Vol 500 ml bottle UK Expensive Flavour 7

This is a relatively new seasonal ale from the London brewery. It is a pale golden beer, with a thick, lager-like head and a very hoppy aroma and flavour, but without the emphasis on bitterness. There are subtle vanilla elements in the nose and distinct (but rapidly fading) banana notes in the aftertaste. Dry but light, refreshing yet more flavour than many summer beers. A relatively complex example of this genre, pretty good for a session. OBBD reviewer: Sparks |

A perfect answer for hot summers. I really love this beer.

really good thirst quencher!

Beautifully hoppy summer quaffing ale. Hard to beat on a hot day.

I found this to be good, but only when served very cold, which mutes the flavours somewhat.

I had a horrible pint of this in The Old Fish Market in Bristol. I found it to be like a flat lager, utterly lacking in taste, and very thin. Perhaps I should try it elsewhere, as I generally enjoy summer ales.

Just tried a bottle and it took some effort just to finish it. I think it was hopped with the contents of Moggie's litter tray. A disgrace to the Fuller's name.
Unless it's meant to be drunk at 2 degrees to kill the cheap hop extract notes? In which case, what's the point? Drink a proper Pilsener or Helles instead.

This is an excellent summer beer. A refeshing alternative to mass produced lager.
