This beer has a bright orange-yellow colour and its almost total lack of head gives it the appearance of a liqueur. This impression is reinforced by the nose, which is similar to that of a grain spirit and gives a forewarning of the strength. The palate, which is reminiscent of watered-down brandy, is slightly hoppy, but very rich and thick, cloying and quite syrupy with light malt and a spirit-like bite. The finish is sharp and bitter, with hops in the back of the throat. This is similar in many ways to an English barley wine, but lacks the rich, malty fruitiness often associated with this genre. Otherwise a fairly typical bock-style beer.

I have tried the Allgauer Brauhaus Feutsch Pils and liked it very much. I tried the beer in Germany. I am back in the US and would like to know if I can buy it here in the US or if I could have it shipped over.

I tried Feutsch Pils on a recent visit to Kempten and enjoyed it very much. I believe that Allgauer Brauhaus should examine the possibility of exporting not only Feutsch Pils but also the other great beers that it brews.

I had the hefeweizen in Kempten and bought some glasses in the store at the brewery. What a steal a big mass for 3 euro. The beer was very good off the tap, I should have had a helles too.

I used (chose) to sell this beer in my Gasthof in Kleinwalsertal. Anyone know where (if) you can get it in UK? PS Feutsch Pils is actually TEUTSCH (corruption of Deutsch)Pils but tastes as good no matter what it may be called. Certainly up there with Warsteiner and other bettr known brews.
