The taste is quite similar to Dortmunder Union Siegel Pils, only the beer is more "bekömmlich" as the Germans say - roughly translated this means that it feels good when you drink it, so no bloated feeling in your stomach or Heineken headache. Review submitted by: Hugo Hermsen |

Michael Jackson has this as the better of the two well-known Dortmunder Exports (the other is from DAB). I found it had pleasant traces of melons and honeyed grassy hops in the aroma, and a honeyed malty palate with gentle citric hints, very mild for a pale lager and nicely balanced with malted milk in the finish, but nothing gobsmacking. The brewery has recently gone back to an older name, Brinkhoff's, and is a key member of the Brau und Brunnen grouping.
Des de Moor
Slightly fruity - wonderful with curry!
