The name of this little Welsh farmhouse brewery seems to have changed - it was originally referred to as 'Bragwr Arbennig o Geredigion', which is Welsh for 'special brewery of Ceredigion'. This beer is made with organic ingredients, although all the brewery's offerings feature no artificial ingredients and all are bottle- or cask-conditioned.
It is a golden straw colour and pours with a fine-bubbled, lasting head. The aroma is hoppy, with scents of barley husks and straw, along with a woody, vanilla touch. On the palate it is smooth and bitter, almost perfectly carbonated, and features gentle drying grassy hops with a citrusy, slightly grapefruity quality. There is also a slight touch of salt. The taste is very bitter and clean on the palate, and leads into a lingering bitter finish of nettly, vegetal hops. Very clean, very hoppy, and very enjoyable indeed.
