Described as a Premium Dark Ale with 'gloriously rich flavours of fruitcake and caramel', this beer was discovered in September 2009 in Morrison's. The beer has a delightful fruity nose and a very deep ruby colour, reminiscent of port. There are certainly plenty of fruits in the flavour, there's a lot of body to the beer, and it's rich, velvety sweetness rolls around the mouth. It's not cloying, but I doubt I could manage more than 3 in a sitting. The one disappointment is the head. It's a gorgeous caramel colour, but it's very thin and dissipates very rapidly. Nonetheless, it's a very pleasant drink!
