This one took me by surprise as it is much darker than the usual pils. Plenty of body with a lingering slightly fruity aftertaste. My only reservation was that it was more gassy than most pils but apart from this slight criticism I would highly recommend.

An excellent Pils from the Black Forest - the Spezial version is 5.2% and has a pleasent taste.

I drink this beer each year when I visit Germany, for my money this is one of the best beers available anywhere.

In my mind this is the best Pils that I have tasted in my recent seven week trip to Germany. Much better than the Munich big names.
