A fairly dark coloured bitter with immediate coffee taste on the attack, takes a few sips for the palate to adjust, especially after drinking anything lighter. A good brew, selling for £1.83/pint as a guest ale in my local this month. Review submitted by: Matt Foster |

Cask conditioned at The Lord Rosebery, Scarborough. Served a little too warm. ABV is 3.8%. Brown colour, minimal head. Moderate aroma, some malt. Reasonably hoppy flavour, "dusty" dry bitter finish. Decent, but not very complex. Score: 6
