Hmmm, now I'm a bit peeved with this beer. What is the point of making a high alcohol, dark lager (to cover the fact you only produce bog standard lagers?) and you put out something like this? An out of balance and thin palate is quite something in a dark 7.2 beer, but they have managed to pull it off here. Nose of bog standard caramel malt and rank hops. A palate of alcohol and syrupy malt, and a finish which is both short on flavour due to a metallic mouth feel (out of a bottle) but long on length due only to the alcohol. Once again, what is the point of making this beer? Go and drink a few beers in Belgium and learn how to make well balanced high alcohol dark beers with flavour, or stick to golden lagers.
