[ABV ~5%] My favorite American brew, this stout has a strong hearty body. The initial taste is full of almost grapefruity hoppiness, followed by a rich and filling finish. This is a must try for any fan of stouts.

Try Anderson Valley's Belk's ESB. At 6.8% it's hard not to love. I'd give it an 8.5

Well i had visited Booneville in Anderson valley five years ago. a german tourist in california - just had to stop for gas, sent off some postcards to friends and family and for to have a break in the local pub. much to my surprise, walls and ceiling of the pub were covered with t-shirts that showed beers from all over the world. (sure i missed some of the here discussed ones) and as a souvenier i bought one of the offered ones with the symbol of the anderson valley boonville beer. After having left Boonville i noticed that we had forgotten our bag, that contented our passports, tickets, money, credit-cards and so on in the pub. So i turned the car and drove back the 20 to 30 miles to the pub. Everything still was on the place as we left it. What i wanna say by telling this story is: the people who live there in anderson valley are correct and of good character and this might be a not unimportant factor for creating such an extraordinary fantastic beer. one of the best i ever had, (i'm over 50)
I rate it 9.
p.s.:If it's possible to get it somewhere in europe, please let me know.
